Starting over

A year has passed since I posted anything on my exercise and food journal. Holy night, one year?My excuse is because I had a baby. Baby Brett Aaron was born on 6/6/10. He is 16 weeks today. He is precious. He is sweet and smells delicious. He makes my heart go pitter-pat and even though I gained 55 pounds with him and HATE myself for the indulgent behavior...he is totally worth it. Now, it's time to get back on track. It's time to eat clean again. It's time to lose these last 15-20 pounds. I figured blogging out my progress will help me stay accountable.
No weight training today, but I did Body Combat! Yay for cardio :)

He will do for me all he has planned. He controls my destiny. Job 23:14

I'm on my 4th month of training with Mike. I have started to see serious results and I need to keep track of what I'm doing. I want to see where I've come from and how far I go. Our goal date is November 21, 2009 to participate in the Lackland Classic. Still deciding on the figure competition or bikini competition.

I'm doing this show to:
Set myself apart and honor God with my body (1 Cor 6:20) To show myself I have the discipline (1 Cor 9:25). To show myself that anything is possible (Luke 18:27) To show myself that I can control my diet (1 Cor 10:13b) To show myself that I can commit to working out (Isaiah 40:29) To show myself that 60 pounds of baby weight is not an excuse to stay unhealthy (Isaiah 40:31) and to do it all for the Glory of God! (1 Cor 10:31)

Today was good. I felt good. I think I can do this! I have 8 weeks. Holy Cow, 8 weeks left. I did 30 minutes on the stair climber today between level 7 & 10. I have never sweat so much. It felt so amazing. I felt the adrenaline kicking in and I felt like I could run a marathon. Teaching Body Combat has been different too. I am now teaching track 9 doing real push ups on my toes! I've always done the push ups on my knees. Now I can do "boy" pushups the entire track! Feels so rockin to accomplish that!!
